Dańkowskie Alvaro is a rye variety with outstanding yield potential.
It is a very early-maturing variety with excellent adaptability to a wide range of climatic and soil conditions.
It has high tolerance to acidic soils and poor crop rotation.
It has very good overall disease resistance, particularly to powdery mildew, stem-base diseases, brown rust and rhynchosporium, as well as low susceptibility to ergot. It fits well with the objectives of the European Green Deal.
It produces large, plump grain (TGW approx. 30–33 g).
Its outstanding grain quality parameters make it particularly suitable for milling and baking purposes.
Its exceptional tillering ability allows for reduced sowing costs. The recommended sowing rate under optimal sowing conditions is 260 viable seeds/m² (approx. 80–90 kg/ha), equivalent to 2 sowing units.
For early sowing and intensive cultivation, the sowing rate should be reduced by 10%, i.e. to 1.8 sowing units/ha.
