Gisel

  • Gisel is a tetraploid variety.
  • It belongs to the group of varieties representing medium precocity.
  • The plants are high (ca. 100 cm), without lodging susceptibility and with increased winter hardiness.
  • It shows rapid spring growth and good re-growth after each swath. It gives high green and dry matter yields.
  • The variety is suitable for both pure and mixture sowing for short-term meadow and field crops all over the country.
  • Fodder has high feeding value.
  • Sowing in the mix with rye for green crop or silage: 60-80 kg/ha of rye + 25-30 kg/ha of ryegrass, after green crop and nitrogen dose of 60-68 kg/ha, meadow crop or grazing.
  • In winter follow crop with vetch and incarnatum: 15-20 kg/ha of Italian ryegrass + 40-50 kg/ha of winter vetch + 15-20 kg/ha of incarnatum, earing term – 3rd decade of May,
  • In a mix with red and Persian clover: 10 kg/ha of Italian ryegrass + 10 kg/ha of clover.
