  • METRO is the latest, record-breaking and stable yielding winter triticale variety, registered after two years of research.
  • It is works well on medium quality soils – IIIa-IVb.
  • Medium-short plants with very high stiffness, suitable for intensive agricultural technology.
  • It is characterized by excellent resistance to diseases, especially to: powdery mildew, brown rust, nodorum septoria blotch, rhynchosporium, ear fusarium. It fits into the Green Deal strategy.
  • Characterised by a very high frost resistance (5.5).
  • Metro has a very coarse grain (MTZ about 40-45g) with a high protein content. It is a perfect component of animal feed.
  • High sprouting resistance secures it in wet harvest.
  • Very high tillering capacity allows reduced sowing rates.
  • The recommended sowing rate at the optimal sowing date is 250-300 germinating grains per 1 m2 (ca. 120-140 kg/ha).
  • For early sowing and intensive cultivation technology, the norm should be reduced by 10%.
  • In the case of delayed sowing, the sowing rate should be increased by 10%.
