- DANKO winter wheat variety characterised by stable yield performance and low soil requirements.
- Exhibits very good adaptability to a wide range of climatic and soil conditions.
- Versatile variety, suitable for both good and weaker soils. Performs particularly well on soil classes IIIa to IVb.
- Bataja offers excellent grain quality parameters, classified as A/B quality class.
- Very early heading and maturity, combined with very good disease resistance. It shows particularly high resistance to snow mould, stem base diseases, yellow rust and DTR (tan spot).
- Performs well on less favourable sites, including after maize.
- Very good winter hardiness, rated 4.5 on a 9-point scale.
- Produces attractive, bold grain, with a thousand grain weight (TGW) of approximately 45–50 g, comparable to the Arkadia wheat variety.
- Very good tillering ability – lower sowing rates are recommended!
- The recommended sowing rate under optimal sowing conditions is 300–350 germinating seeds/m² (approx. 160–180 kg/ha).
- For early sowing under intensive cultivation systems, the sowing rate should be reduced by 10%.
- For late sowing, the sowing rate should be increased by 10%.
