Tiesto

Super-early!
No. 1 in protein content!

  • Tiesto is a new winter triticale variety characterized by record-high yield potential.
  • It has very good adaptability to a wide range of climatic and soil conditions.
  • Thanks to its very early maturity, it performs particularly well on medium-quality and weaker soils – Classes IVa, IVb and V. Its high resistance to pre-harvest sprouting provides added security during wet harvest conditions.
  • Tiesto is an early-maturing variety with very good disease resistance.
  • It has exceptionally high resistance to yellow and brown rust, leaf and glume blotch, and Fusarium ear blight.
  • Tiesto has very good winter hardiness (5.0 on a 9-point scale).
  • It is a variety with traditional straw length, combined with high lodging resistance – similar to the Belcanto type.
  • It has good resistance to pre-harvest sprouting.
  • It produces attractive, plump grain (TGW approx. 45–50 g) with very high density. It also has a high protein content of approx. 11%.
  • It has exceptionally high tillering ability, making low sowing rates possible.
  • The recommended sowing rate under optimal sowing conditions is 300–340 viable seeds/m² (approx. 140–160 kg/ha).
  • For early sowing and intensive cultivation, the sowing rate should be reduced by 10%.
  • For delayed sowing, the sowing rate should be increased by 10%.
