King Kong

King Kong is a new winter wheat variety, registered in France in 2023 and currently undergoing registration trials in Poland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
It is characterized by record-high and stable yields under both medium-intensive and intensive cultivation systems. It performs excellently under reduced fungicide use.
It has very good grain quality parameters – A quality class.
Its good disease resistance allows fungicide applications to be reduced, thereby lowering production costs and increasing the profitability of cultivation.
It is a shorter-strawed variety (similar in type to Alegoria) with good lodging resistance.
King Kong is an early variety with uniform ripening, supporting efficient harvesting and safe grain storage.
It has a record-high resistance to grain shattering (9/9).
The variety is suitable for late sowing and cultivation after maize and sugar beet.
At the optimum sowing date, a rate of 320–370 seeds/m² (130–170 kg/ha) is recommended.
For early sowing and intensive cultivation, the sowing rate should be reduced by 10%.
For late sowing, the sowing rate should be increased by 10%.
