Burrito

Burrito is a new traditional-type winter triticale variety, distinguished by high and stable yields throughout Poland.
Thanks to its very good adaptability, it performs well under a wide range of climatic and soil conditions.
It is particularly recommended for medium and weaker soils (Classes IIIb–V), under both medium-intensive and intensive cultivation systems.
The variety is medium-early, supporting proper crop development and good preparation for harvest.
It is characterized by very high disease resistance and high winter hardiness (5.0), providing greater crop security.
The grain is large and well-calibrated, with a high TGW of 45–48 g, good test weight and high protein content.
An additional advantage is its increased resistance to pre-harvest sprouting. Thanks to its high tillering ability, lower sowing rates can be used, helping to reduce production costs.
At the optimum sowing date, the recommended sowing rate is 270–320 viable seeds/m² (approx. 140–160 kg/ha).
For early sowing and intensive cultivation, the sowing rate should be reduced by 10%. For late sowing, the sowing rate should be increased by 10%.
