Biesiada

Biesiada is a new winter wheat variety bred by DANKO.
It boasts excellent winter hardiness, rated 5.5 on a 9-point scale.
It is characterized by very high tolerance to soil acidity.
The plants are of medium height, approximately 95 cm, with flexible and highly durable straw.
Thanks to its very good disease resistance, it requires only basic crop protection.
It carries the effective Pch1 resistance gene, which contributes to resistance to eyespot (strawbreaker).
It produces a large, well-filled ear with plump grain (TGW approx. 50 g) and high resistance to grain shattering.
High grain quality (A quality class), particularly in such important parameters as protein content above 13% and the SDS sedimentation index, which indicates the high-quality protein composition of the grain.
At the optimum sowing date, a rate of 300–350 seeds/m² (150–180 kg/ha) is recommended.
For early sowing and intensive cultivation, the sowing rate should be reduced by 10%.
For late sowing, the sowing rate should be increased by 10%.
