Ambientus is a new, high-yielding winter wheat variety, recommended for cultivation throughout the country.
Performs very well on good-quality soils and under intensive cultivation systems. It also performs well on weaker sites under less intensive production systems. The variety has excellent adaptability to a wide range of climatic and soil conditions.
Also suitable for direct drilling / no-till sowing.
Exhibits very high resistance to brown rust and yellow rust.
A taller variety with good lodging resistance. Under intensive cultivation systems, stem strengthening / growth regulation is recommended.
Very good grain quality, on the borderline between A and E quality classes, with a high falling number and high protein and gluten content.
A particular strength of Ambientus winter wheat is its very good winter hardiness, rated 5.0 on a 9-point scale.
Under optimal sowing conditions, the recommended sowing rate is 300–350 seeds/m² (150–180 kg/ha).
For early sowing under intensive cultivation systems, the sowing rate should be reduced by 10%.
For late sowing, the sowing rate should be increased by 10%.
